The windmill "De Hoop" has been in Oud-Alblas since 1844. In contrast to many other mills in the Netherlands, this is not a wind pump, but a flour mill. The mill has been owned by the De Groot family for five generations and is in regular use. Every week, around 500 kilograms of wheat are ground into flour, which you can then buy at the store at the bottom of the mill. In addition, you can also visit the well-preserved structure.

The mill is open on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
