The “Wirtshaus am Stein” was already a popular destination 250 years ago because “the Steinerwirth” had a license to “Reyhen und Danzen”. Today the former restaurant with mill, miller's house and post exchange station belongs to the ensemble in Odenthal-Stein, where the model maker Günter Blömer runs the “Steiner Wind and Water Museum”. In 1539 a document states that the “Mill of the Stone” was built “before people remembered”. At the beginning of the 1940s, the last miller ceased operations, and in 2010 a full-size mill wheel was installed again.
