In Königsmühle, Czechs and Germans meet in peace and helpfulness. The atmosphere of meeting in the midst of nature and the fading of the story that enlivens the piety of the mob creates a certain melody that is very difficult to describe … You have to experience it yourself.
The entire valley becomes a work of art. The ruins of the former settlement house individual works. It's a festival with a unique location. Not only on the entire German-Czech border. No other such festival in the Czech Republic will be found. The Königsmühle is 920 meters above sea level in a flat valley surrounded by forests and beautiful mountain meadows. Every year we ask the three exceptions to the law on the protection of nature, you can give the experience of reviving the defunct community in one of the most beautiful locations of the Ore Mountains.
From the perspective of the spirituality of the rural ruins, it is absolutely unique - all the buildings that stood here in 1945 are still standing today, albeit in ruins. We try to preserve these ruins and also work with the last local woman, Mrs. Rosemari Ernst, who was born here.
A unique meeting with artists from all over the Czech Republic and Germany awaits you. Surrounded by beautiful nature, you can relax, enjoy the work of carvers and land artists, listen to pleasant music, see theatrical performances and try various workshops.
