The original parish of Peter and Paul is the oldest parish in the north of Munich. It was first mentioned between 805 - 808. The parish included the area of Mittelheim in the north - Garching in the northeast and Sendling in the south. From around 1890 it was rebuilt and expanded in the neo-Gothic style. The altar is made of Veronese marble.
