The RAVeL of the 98C line is a place full of life: people walk there, young parents let their children do their first somewhat awkward turns of the wheels, pétanque enthusiasts take over the grounds they have laid out, a few spectators support them, a glass in hand…

This old railway line, which once connected the various collieries, has found its new vocation by becoming a place for strolling in the heart of the Borinage. And thanks to the non-profit association Blanc Murmure, it has now become a real artistic journey between two major museum centres, the PASS and the Grand-Hornu site.

As part of Mons 2015, the CEC Blanc Murmure has indeed created life on the RAVeL line 98C. A vast project, both associative and artistic, mobilized 250 local residents (children, young people and adults) and led to the installation of 11 original works, including in particular a huge earthworm as a rest area, funny pictograms raising questions, a set of screens featuring Marios Bros in mine galleries, a "suitcase tree" evoking immigration, colored horses that referred to the world of coal mining...
