Until 1583, the town hall was located in the center of the market or ring square (Krakonošovo náměstí, Rübezahlplatz) surrounded by arcades. It fell victim to a fire and was rebuilt on the market side. After another fire in 1861, it was redesigned in the neo-Gothic style and a striking, slender tower with a tower clock was added. Today the following sights can be discovered on the almost square square: the baroque plague column of the Holy Trinity from 1704, the Rübezahl fountain from 1892 and the monument to Emperor Joseph II from 1886.
