On the southern tip of the island of La Palma is this lighthouse, rebuilt in 2006 since the old one was destroyed in the eruption of the Teneguía volcano in the 20th century.

In the same area are the Salinas de Fuencaliente, which are an area of scientific interest due to the biodiversity they contain, especially birds.
