Lovely views over Plymouth Sound close to The Citadel and a few yards away from Elphinstone car park this is a great place to start a waterfront walk passing The Hoe and Smeatons Tower. The route can be extended through Millbay and Stonehouse to the Royal William Yard and the local ferries or on through Mount Wise to Devonport and Torpoint ferry. Plenty to see on the way.

Plymouth Hoe makes up the northern tip of the Plymouth Sound, a deep inlet which runs from Wembury Point in the east and Penlee Point in the west.
