The North Sea resort of Burhave is located in Butjadingen on the North Sea coast, around 15 kilometers north-west of the mouth of the Weser, in the middle of the marshland. There used to be a sandy beach on the coast, but over time it became increasingly silted up. The reason for this is believed to be changes in the flow conditions due to the artificial deepening of the Outer Weser. A lagoon-like seawater bathing lake offers the opportunity to bathe regardless of the tides. Directly behind the seawater bathing lake is the Wattensteg, a 200-meter-long pier that extends into the Wadden Sea.

Small and tranquil. Very suitable as a starting point for cycling and hiking trips. There are many things to discover when you cycle along the dyke path. Trips to Tossens or Bremerhaven (be sure to take the ferry) are recommended.

Burhave a small tranquil place in Butjardingen. Were therefore still quite quiet early in the season and not so crowded. Ideal for a relaxed bike tour.
