In 1997 the washing area was restored true to the original. In October 2005, the sculptures by the artist couple Barbara and Prof. Gernot Rumpf were inaugurated: bronze washing utensils such as the washing basket, clothesline and washboard are reminiscent of the function of the square at that time.
