The Zuid-Willemsvaart runs from Maastricht to 's-Hertogenbosch. The canal is a shorter route for shipping between the Belgian and Brabant/Gelderland parts of the Maas.
It is also one of the quieter places in Oud Rekem where you can relax.
There is a motorhome parking space right next to the bridge on the canal.
