When the Waldbad in Leuna was built in 1931, an approximately 55m long arched bridge was built to cross the Saale. This was created in just 60 days of construction by forces of the voluntary Reich Labor Service for 36,000 Reichsmark.

The bridge is similar in design to the Halle Forstwerder bridge.
