Gazi Mehmet Pasha Hamam

Hamam Gazi Mehmet Pasha is the historic Turkish bath in the heart of Prizren. The bath dates from 1498 and had sections for both women and men.

The Prizren Hammam is located in the old town of Prizren and was built at the end of the 15th century, in 1498 to be precise. The hammam (Turkish bath) is of the "couple hamam" type, which was used by both sexes at the same time. It is made up of different stones. The part of the hammam for men is slightly larger than the rest for women.

The hammam has all the spaces that hammams of this type have, so it consists of the entrance part (the part for waiting and drinking), the wardrobe part, the central part where there is washing, sweating, pleasure and the part of the cauldron the southern part of the object.
