Starting point for hiking to Lake Valhalla and access to the Pacific Crest Trail. Off Hwy 2 approximately 3.5 miles east of Stevens Pass, access by Logway #6700, approximately 5 miles of gravel road. No infrastructure available, no fee required.
The short tour of Lake Valhalla and the Henry M. Jackson Wilderness is a great way to explore the alpine landscape of the North Cascades. Easy to walk, not particularly strenuous and mainly in the forest, so mostly shady even in midsummer.
