The Dillberg transmitter is located on the 595 meter high Dillberg. The Bayerischer Rundfunk has operated a transmitter here since 1955. The main transmission mast of the Dillberg transmitter is the tallest building in the administrative district of Upper Palatinate and also the highest transmission mast for Bavarian radio. In addition, the Dillberg transmitter is the third highest transmitter after the Nuremberg telecommunications tower and the Olympic tower in Munich in Bavaria.
