The Day of the Homeland is a national day of remembrance of the Federation of Expellees and is held annually in different locations in Germany.
It dates back to the rally in front of Stuttgart Castle on August 6, 1950, where the Charter of German Heimatvertriebenen (expellees) was proclaimed.
