The Way of St. Francis means hiking in the footsteps of Saint Francis of Assisi and takes you through beautiful landscapes from La Verna to Assisi (and on to Rome if desired). Varied paths, lots of peace and deceleration await you on the most famous Italian pilgrimage route.
The northern route of the path runs through the Tuscan and Umbrian Apennines and takes you through the hilly landscape of Umbria. The total route covers around 200 km to Assisi and you will repeatedly come across places where Saint Francis lived and worked.
