The church consists of the entrance hall (the former choir), the elongated nave and a western apse. The tower stands on the entrance hall. The building was made of gray sandstone, some of which was rich in iron. At the northeast corner, a stair tower serves as a staircase to the tower.

The ship is a simple rectangular hall with a flat beamed ceiling. The organ gallery was added to the west wall. In the room there are two carved retables from around 1475 and 1490. The pulpit, also carved from wood, from the beginning of the 18th century stands on a twisted column. The Gothic baptismal font in the shape of a chalice was revised in the 19th century. There are several paintings hung on the walls, including: Offer portraits of canonesses from the 17th and 18th centuries. In a niche in the entrance hall there is a vespers picture in high relief made of sandstone from the last quarter of the 14th century.

The collegiate church was built in 1253 and is located in a picturesque Lappwald landscape. It consists of three parts: the nave, the west apse and the entrance hall with the tower above it. A round arch frieze on the main cornice and a round arch portal on the south side decorate the façade. The oldest parts of the collegiate church are the lower part of the tower, up to the level of the round arch frieze on the south side, as well as the western part of the Schiffsüd- and ship north wall. As a building material used gray, sometimes very ferrous sandstone. Around 1700, the church tower was raised and provided with a baroque hood. The staircase tower of this church can be reached through a gothic pointed arch door. The interior is very extensive. A winged altar from the year 1475 shows Mary in the radiance raised by four angels. The stone Pieta from 1430, located in the south wall of the vestibule, captivates the viewer with its simple beauty. Another impressive feature is the carved wooden pulpit dating back to the early 18th century.
