Hiking

The City Canal is a historic waterway in Potsdam. Created in 1673 as a drainage ditch for the Havel River, the Prussian King Frederick William I had it expanded starting in 1722, modeled on Dutch canals. After being filled in between 1962 and 1965, individual sections have been reconstructed or exposed since 1999.
