The historic town hall from 1579 in the heart of the town of Schwalenberg is a splendid example of half-timbered architecture in the Weser Renaissance style. A very worth seeing building with other beautiful half-timbered houses around it.

The historic town hall is one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. It is its landmark and dates from the Weser Renaissance period. The core building dates from 1579 and was expanded in 1603. The ground floor was first a market hall, then in the 17th century "Ratskeller". The meeting and official rooms were upstairs.
