In 2007, to mark the 100th anniversary of King Chulalongkorn's spa visit, the Thai royal family presented another visible sign of solidarity: King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit presented Bad Homburg with the second Thai Sala. They expressed only one request: that the Sala be built at the Chulalongkorn Spring, as the monarch had originally intended for the building he donated. At that time, Bad Homburg instead opted for the more prominent location in one of Lenné's viewpoints, but this time the city complied with his wishes. Now, the "Thai Sala at the Spring" stands next to the healing spring discovered in 1907 and inaugurated by Chulalongkorn himself.

Members of the Thai royal family have visited Bad Homburg several times. Every year, many Thais living in Germany commemorate the death anniversary of the still-revered Siamese monarch Chulalongkorn at the Salas. And every summer, the Kur- und Kongreß-GmbH organizes a two-day Thai festival around the “Thai Sala in the Park.”
