The Obermühle lies along the small trail from the monastery to Silbersteg shortly before the Aumühle. The old mill was rebuilt shortly after the First World War in a hydroelectric power plant, which was then enlarged again shortly after the Second World War. It is still in operation and generates electricity. Through the windows of the main house you can see the two turbines.
