Bayersoien was first mentioned around 1315 as a branch church of the Rottenbuch monastery. Today's church was built in its present form in the 15th/16th century, baroque-styled and refurbished in the 18th century. The interior of the rather simple little church is clearly visible from afar due to its exposed location.
