The chasm of the Huelgoat forest also has its tragic legend which suits the tales of Brittany so well. It's very rare in fact that it doesn't end in a hair-raising drama.
That of the Abyss is no exception to the rule: A libertine princess came to get rid of her one-night lovers by throwing them into this abyss. The result of her actions: she transforms into a mermaid and is condemned to wander and come every evening to sing of the loss of the unfortunate.
On the practical side you will see the small 10 meter waterfall disappear under the rocky chaos to reappear 300 meters further. It's just as fascinating as the legend.translated by
