Centrally located on the market square you will find the late Gothic hall church, one of the most beautiful in the country. It was built from 1443 to 1541 as a supplement and extension of the St. Nicholas chapel, which was already documented in the 14th century. The 61 m high tower, which is directly attached to the choir, is particularly striking and, as it were, the landmark of the city visible from afar. Its continuous octagons make it unique. The attached sundial (1760) comes from the famous Württemberg mechanic priest Philip Matthäus Hahn. Inside the church are works by the Balinger Renaissance artist Simon Schweizer and a very beautiful baroque organ (1767).
