Zubi Zaharra and Cofradia Zaharra are among the most significant corners of Ondarroa . The bridge also appears on the town's coat of arms.
It is in the old town, on the river Artibai. XIV. In the century there was a wooden bridge. But the forerunner of today's was built in 1795, in the Romanesque style. In 1936, during the Spanish Civil War, the bridge was heavily damaged and in 1953 it was almost completely destroyed by a great flood. Because of all these changes, it is difficult to guess the original structure of the bridge.
