I lingered this morning in the plaza in Sobrado... enjoyed the friends but sent them off. Spread ashes in the monastery gardens and got provisions and set off. Things will change, we join thee highway coming along the Camino Frances, our group coming from the north joins the horde soon.

Yesterday, the walk wasn't the highlight. It was sitting outside the bar in Baamonte and friends joining... even a whiskey before heading on another 14? Or so km to the albergue. Which was great, a night of music too.

A short day, so I waved on the gansters and waited to be the last pilgrim. It was a day to spread Dad's ashes, walk but stop a lot, think.
Approaching Valalba I had that let down on the edge of town, it looked sad. But after checking in and showering up I found a lovely, peaceful plaza and Esterella Galicia
Good night with Anna and the Germans at the albergue. A deep, long sleep. I lost Dad!... I thought I'd left his urn somewhere... took apart the backpack and found him. So, a late start.
This was the day of the huge hill... beautiful, sunny but cool... coming over the hill to brilliant green landscape
A good night in Ribadeo and a good morning... all day it rained and sometimes quite hard but that made it perfect, a beautiful walk, I didn't want to come inside... the photo at the tables is where I met the Italian woman, today I walked some with 2 Poles, and I'm glad I loaded up on food in Ribedeo

Great 2 days! Meeting Pulei on a 31km day, arriving to no beds anywhere due to festivals, joined by 2 more from China, the little boy I gave a 100 Kroner for his collection, putting together beds and a taxi ride for us 4... Pulei super happy for the new, black Mervefes taxi and riding in western luxury
