Best Hikes to Burgstall Wieseck Ruins

Tips

  • If you follow the Burgenweg in the Anlautertal, you will pass this very old castle stable. The walls have already turned into partial ruins that can hardly be seen. At the same time everything is overgrown with tendrils and grass. Still, it's worth the visit.

  • The Burgstall is located 720 meters north-northeast of the Catholic branch church of the Assumption of Mary from Erlingshofen on a northeast-facing 480 m above sea level. NN high tongue of the Niefanger mountain. The spur is protected in the west by steep terrain to the Kerntal, a side valley of the Anlautertal through which the Hafenbrunnenbach stream flows.

  • Not much preserved from the castle complex - but a great (also on the ground) green section of forest
