This country estate was founded in 1839 by notary A.J. van den Broecke. The design of the neoclassical country house is attributed to K.G. Zocher. The current appearance arose when the side wings were raised in 1900.
The design of the park is also attributed to K.G. Zocher. It is characterized by a fan-shaped view from the house across the lawn and the pond towards the Domburgseweg. The park was severely damaged during the Walcheren flooding in 1944. It was restored in 1985.
