The Boshoverheide is a nature reserve of over 200 hectares with an extensive, well-preserved urn field from the late Bronze Age that can be visited by hikers. The heathland area adjoins the Loozerheide and the Weerter and Budelerberge.

Hidden under the shifting sand and between the pines lie the remains of a rich past.
About 3,000 years ago, farmers built mounds over the cremated remains of their relatives. Over the course of four to five centuries, the burial ground grew into a burial mound with - according to some estimates - over 3,000 dead. The burial mounds remained visible for centuries, until the nineteenth century and even to this day.
