The Stephanuskirche in Deilinghofen, built in the 14th century, is the oldest building in Hemer and has been a listed building since 1982.

There was already a church building in Deilinghofen in the 13th century. In the following century, today's St. Stephen's Church was finally built. At that time, Deilinghofen still belonged to the parish of Menden, and the church was already dedicated to St. Stephen. In the course of the Reformation, almost the entire community joined the Protestant church in 1565, so that St. Stephen's Church was used by the Protestant community from then on. There was a beguinage in Deilinghofen until 1638, which was used as a pastorate from 1655.
Particularly worth seeing today are the late Gothic carved altar, which was completely renovated in 1860, and the also Gothic crucifix, which was renovated in 1954.
