Residential buildings in the "new" town: modern new buildings are now being built to complement the old blocks of flats from the Stalinist city foundation. The city was founded in a steppe landscape. It was essentially laid out (only a few blocks deep) on a street axis that leads through the "old" town to the steel mill. The main street offers many shops and other services of daily life.
