The architecture of the Central Library is still controversial in Seattle: many spread the building too self-confident in the urban skyline of downtown. But maybe just a public building must do this in the middle of all the banking and office towers. Anyway, any passer-by can use it as a public passage, crossing the airy spaces, comfortably negotiating the considerable difference in height between 4th and 5th avenues.
