Since 1147, there has been a chapel in Pelkum, which belonged to the Schulzenhof and, incidentally, to the mother church of St. Victor in Herringen. The farm and chapel belonged to the Deutz Abbey since 1003. Ferdinand Brandenburg and Claus Peter have reported on this. These dates go back much further in historical tradition than dates can tell, but they provide insights and knowledge from historical research, especially regarding the history of places and field names. We cannot document the location of the Pelkum church, but it had a special significance, and it was expressly intended to have it!Further information at: evkirche-pelkum-wiescherhoefen.de/ueber-uns/die-zentren/jakobuskirche
