In Lüdinghausen man changed the course of the Stever and divided it into three arms. The Vischeringsche Stever flows around Vischering Castle, the Mühlenstever once kept the Borgsmühle going and the Ostenstever was supposed to divert rainwater around Lüdinghausen. At this point, the old Stever, the confluence of the Vischeringschen and the Mühlenstever, meets the Ostenstever again.
There is also a station on the SteverLandRoute here, which is dedicated to the importance of the intact shoreline.

The SteverlandRoute is the family bike path in Münsterland.
14 hands-on stations invite young and old to discover nature on the Stever together. Children can use the explorer card to collect Stever coins and answer riddles at each station and thus become Stever experts. In particularly beautiful places - like here - picnic tables and meadow sofas invite you to take a cozy break. Take a look at our collection. :)
