Please check local regulations for: Vogelfreistätte Mittlere Isarstauseen
West of the motorway bridge, the Isar flows through striking rapids caused by conglomerate ribs in the riverbed. The tertiary molasse gravel here has solidified into conglomerate. This may be related to the fault zone of the Landshut-Neuöttinger fault in the subsurface. This is the only place on the Middle and Lower Isar where the riverbed consists of bedrock. At river kilometer 87.4 there is an information board next to the cycle path on the northern bank. Here you can also reach the shore via a path.umweltatlas.bayern.de/standortauskunft/rest/reporting/sb_geotope/generate?additionallayerfieldvalue=274R009
