If you are looking for a hidden gem in the Viroin valley, you should visit Le Mwène de Vaucelles, a natural site of great biological interest. There you will find a large area of meadows and rock outcrops, restored from an old pine plantation. The Mwène de Vaucelles is one of the least known, the local name for the limestone hills that dot the landscape. It is located near Vaucelles Abbey, a former Cistercian monastery founded by Saint Bernard in 1131, which has the largest Cistercian church in Europe.
