Mountain biking

From 1905 to 1969, Bürgel had a railway connection on the railway line from Crossen an der Elster to Porstendorf ( de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bahnstrecke_Crossen_an_der_Elster%E2%80%93Porstendorf ). Some of the station buildings have been preserved to this day, including Graitschen station or, in this case, Bürgel station. Bürgel station has been renovated and is inhabited. In addition, you can discover a few other old railway buildings as relics from a bygone era. Today, a cycle path runs along the railway line. From time to time, you can still see old kilometer markers on the edge of the cycle path.
