During the cold season, the fantastic ice palaces are always created here for a few weeks. The Ice Palaces first appeared in 1980. For the first few years, however, this spectacle took place about 300 meters away from the current location, opposite the large car park on the slope near the cantonal road. Until 2017 the builder was Neuhaus Karl (Kari), after which Schwarzsee Tourismus took over the task. The ice palaces are really staged with colorful light and are therefore only open in the evenings. It has a large parking lot and a Buvette on site.
