Did you know that there used to be a train route between Zarrentin and Ratzeburg? This had existed since 1897. Traffic between Zarrentin and Klein Zecher was stopped as early as autumn 1945 due to the establishment of the Soviet and British zones of occupation. In 1952 the tracks between Zarrentin and the border were dismantled.
