Hiking

The approximately 170-year-old tree stands in the courtyard of Goseck Castle and is worth a visit, especially in autumn when its leaves turn yellow.

Hiking

This male ginkgo in the Goseck castle courtyard was planted in 1859 (according to the purchase receipt) by the family of the Counts of Zech-Burkersroda, who acquired the property that year and lived in it until 1945. The age of the tree at the time of planting is unknown. However, the plant was ordered from a nursery in Erfurt, so it would have been around 15 years old when it was placed on Goseck, so it is around 180 years old today.
