Officially, the church is dedicated to Our Lady of Perpetual Help. But popularly, the church is still often referred to as the "Paterskerk aan de Kaai", although the Fathers - Redemptorists to be precise - left in 2003. The Roosendaalse Paterskerk was built in 1868, to the design of Theo Asseler. The style is a mixture of Neo-Romanesque and Neo-Byzantine. Striking are the front with the two towers and the later added dome. (BHIC).

The church of Our Lady on the Quay was built in 1868 in a mixture of styles, both neo-Romanesque and neo-Byzantine. The dome and the rear section were added in 1909. The Redemptorist fathers, who gave popular missions and retreats from the church from 1874, left in 2003, after which the church, monastery and garden were restored. Today it is a parish church. The church can be visited on Saturday afternoons during the summer months. Be sure to take a look at the Paterstuin located behind the church.

The Church of Our Lady belongs to the Sint Norbertus parish. There are Eucharistic celebrations on Saturdays at 6:30 PM and on Sundays at 9:30 AM.
