It's a great experience to whiz down from the west on this hardpack double-track road from hard sand. After an often technical descent you end up in a small desert of soft sand and the occasional palm trees. The road rolls straight down here, allowing you to reach high speeds. A relief after all that bouncing!

Route tackled during the Ultracycling AtlasMountainRace race, a unique experience of its kind. Path that I recommend to face with excellent physical preparation and adaptation to extreme situations. If well divided into stages, it becomes a crazy journey that I recommend, along the way there are good refreshment points.
