The Cathedral of Santa María de Mediavilla, also known as the Cathedral of Teruel, is a jewel of Mudejar art in Spain. Located in the Plaza de la Catedral in Teruel, Aragon, this cathedral has a rich history dating back to the 12th century.
Originally built in the Romanesque style, the cathedral has undergone several renovations over the centuries, incorporating Gothic and Mudejar elements. In 1587, it was elevated to the status of cathedral after the creation of the Diocese of Teruel. Of note are its tower, dome and roof, which have been declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.
The cathedral has a rectangular floor plan with three naves and a straight ambulatory. The central nave is higher than the side naves and is covered by a polychrome roof from the 13th century, considered a milestone of Mudejar art.

Undoubtedly one of the most important icons of the city of Teruel, the Cathedral is the most characteristic building of the Mudejar imprint in the area and at a national level, being one of the few that has been built with this architectural style. The entire building is considered an Asset of Cultural Interest while its tower, roof and dome have been World Heritage Sites since 1986.
