Hiking

The Zoerselbos forest is largely spread across the municipality of Zoersel and a small section across Zandhoven. Unique to this Kempen nature reserve is the meadow landscape, where the grasslands are bordered by wooded areas. Some of these meadows have developed into impenetrable swamp forest in recent decades. Within a relatively small area, you'll find a wide variety of vegetation types. Ancient oak forests and mature conifers alternate with grasslands and species-rich scrub. Heathland is only present in limited numbers.
