After the castle was demolished in 1939, an estate administration building, the “Rentamt” (or Accounts Office), was built between the estate and the train station. On June 1, 1950, the “Käthe Dunker” kindergarten opened in the building on Bahnhofstrasse, and from 1961 there was also a children’s dump. After the fall of communism (2010), the search for a new name began, and Käte Duncker was politically outdated. The name "Kleine Falken" (small falcons) prevailed as suitable for Falkenhagen.
