The Roman Catholic parish church of St. James the Elder is a Gothic hall church in the Gottsdorf district of Untergriesbach in the Lower Bavarian district of Passau. It belongs to the parish of St. James in the parish association of Untergriesbach in the diocese of Passau. The patron saint is James the Elder. The Gothic, three-bay hall church dates from the middle of the 15th century. A dendrochronological dating of a roof beam in the choir gave the year 1441. In the roof space on the west gable, the year 1451 is inscribed, which was probably transferred when the west tower was rebuilt in 1712 or later. The gallery is dated 1524. The interior was renovated in 1987.
