The new Sillianer Hut is located at an altitude of 2,447 meters and cost around 7.5 million schillings, which would be equivalent to around 545,072 euros today. It is located at the beginning and end of the Carnic Ridge and offers a view of the Puster Valley, surrounded by the Hohe Tauern and the Dolomites.
