The Faschinajoch is a really nice ride up the mountain, much more recommendable is the southern entrance from the Greater Walsertal of Garsella. Beautiful, only moderately busy road, sometimes crisp steep, in the upper area with great views. The northern ramp direction Damüls leads over several 100 meters through an avalanche gallery with 10-12% slope, which makes uphill little joy.

Road cycling

The driveway from Damüls to Faschinajoch leads through a very long avalanche gallery and is not really recommendable. The approach from Bludenz, Raggal or Thuringia is much nicer. As a descent, however, the direction to Damüls is a stunner - who likes, can reach in the gallery quite to the 90 km / h. If you are traveling from the east, you should first take the round trip over the Furkajoch, to Rankweil and back via the Faschina Joch - a dream!
