This is the closest trailhead to get to Broken Top with NoName Lake. The road leading up here is very rough. A car with 4x4 is highly recommended and high-clearance is a real advantage, although we made it with low-clearance (but that took quite a while). There is space for up to ten cars, so come up early. If you don't want or can't take this rough road, you can park your car at Todd Lake and access Broken Top via Todd Lake Trail, Soda Creek Trail and Broken Top Trail. To hike in this area between June 15 and October 15, you need to obtain a permit for the Central Cascades Wilderness here: recreation.gov/ticket/300009/ticket/2000.
